What does the saddle weight include?
The minimum weight of the saddle is 5lb without girth, irons and leathers.
Can the Rider and Pony be qualified individually?
Yes. The Rider has to have finished first to fourth in a Point-to-Point Pony Race, Pony Club Pony Race or have attended three Pony Club rallies since 1st July 2006. Likewise, the Pony must have finished first to fourth in a Point-to-Point Pony Race, Pony Club Pony Race or have attended three Pony Club rallies since 1st July 2006. The Rider and Pony do not have to have done this together. If the Rider is qualified and the Pony is qualified they may form a partnership to compete in the 2007 Charles Owen Pony Racing Series. Ponies competing in the Finals must be ridden by the Rider that qualified them.
Do I have to send a copy of the JMB Height Certificate and Vaccination Certificate for the same pony every time I enter?
No. Once The PRA has received a copy of the Pony’s JMB Height Certificate and valid Vaccination Certificate this will be held on file.
When will I know if I am running or if I have been balloted?
All Riders that enter assume that they are running / competing unless they receive notification from The PRA Secretary at least 10 days before the fixture confirming that they have been balloted.
Do I have to be a Member of The Pony Club?
No. As long as Riders are a Member of The PRA and qualified to enter they may enter and compete in the 2007 Charles Owen Pony Racing Series.
